MOBILE DOSING SYSTEMS

For Liquid Colours

While being considered standard in concrete production plants for many years now, concrete colours to the ready-mix and precast concrete industry are often project-related.
Not owing to a lack of demand, but because owners fear the costs of the installation of new or the modification of existing dosing systems.

Whenever a permanently integrated dosing systems for liquid colours seem not to pay off, we often recommend mobile dosing systems.
As it is technically feasible to integrate them into the existing production process, a complex interference with the process control system of the plant is not required and thus providing an economically attractive, cost-effective and popular solution.

WHAT EXACTLY ARE MOBILE DOSING SYSTEMS?

These are closed-systems equipped with a fully-automated, semi-automated or manual control. In general, volumetric systems with semi-automated control are used. These systems consist of a delivery container, a floor-mounted container with integrated pump, a bypass valve, a filler valve in the mixing tower and a control in the machine room.

HOW’S DOSING REGULATED?

The control system regulates dosing of the calibrated amount of liquid colour in the compulsory mixer.

KEEPING LIQUID COLOURS HOMOGENEOUS

Included in the standard equipment is a bypass valve that ensures the liquid colour can also be used over a long period of time. If necessary, the bypass valve recirculates the colour, preventing the solids in the colour suspension from settling and thus ensures a homogeneous aggregate state.

MORE COLOUR, PLEASE!

As soon as the colour in the floor-mounted container is used up, the ball valve of the delivery container is opened and the liquid colour discharges under its own weight into the floor-mounted container. Empty delivery containers are simply removed from atop the floor-mounted container by forklift or wheel loader and exchanged for a full container.
