WHAT COLOURS HAVE PROVEN EFFECTIVE FOR COLOURING CONCRETE?

For colouring concrete, the quality of the colour used is of crucial importance. Therefore, concrete colours manufactured and used within the European Union, must meet several requirements, specified in DIN EN 12878. This European Standard specifies the requirements and the methods of test for pigments for use in the colouring of building materials based on cement and cement/lime combinations. In line with the commitment to manufacture high-quality admixtures, Ha-Be adopted these requirements also for its Middle Eastern operation.

INFLUENCES ON CONCRETE COLOURS

Apart from the shade and the quality of the pigment(s) used, there are various parameters that may have a high impact on the resulting colour, e.g. cement, grain sizes of aggregates and the w/c-ratio. The shade of the cement used in particular, i.e. grey, off white, white cement, but also the inherent colour of the sand have an influence on the final colour result.

"COLOURISE YOUR CONCTRETE"- CONCEPT

To limit and preclude the risk of any colour deviations, we consider all parameters that may affect the colouration of the concrete and the resulting colour. Within our „Colourise your concrete“-concept, our technical experts test and analyse the customer‘s very own concrete mix or manufactured concrete product and the colouration of it.
