DURAHIT® Coloured Impregnations
Coloured coatings acc. to EN 1504-2 for constructional concrete components
Item No. 26XX
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
DURAHIT® Coloured Impregnations are coloured, film-forming coatings especially designed for upgrading the visual appearance of constructional concrete components.
The coloured coatings generate a coloured, silk-matt shining coat ensuring high-grade surface finishing.
DURAHIT® Coloured Impregnations are a sustainable protection tool which reduce contaminations, efflorescence, and frost damages. They allow preserving the colour shade of concrete for a long time and minimise and decelerate the natural weathering processes. Consequently, the coloured coatings enhance concrete’s durability significantly.
It is recommended to previously dye the concrete in a corresponding, similar colour.
> Slipform concrete
> Precast & manufactured concrete products
> Industrial flooring
> Winter concreting
ANTIFROST 25 (BE) minimises the occurrence of shrinking cracks during the initial setting time.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
DURAHIT® Coloured Impregnations seal the pores on the concrete surface and form a protective finishing - known as lotus effect - which drips off liquids and the therein solved particles, preventing liquids to penetrate the concrete matrix.
DURAHIT® Coloured Impregnations are solvent-free, lightfast and resistant to UV-light.
DOSAGE | APPLICATION QUANTITY
Depending on the surface structure and its absorption properties, the required amount varies between 80 - 120 g/m².
Using a suitable priming agent (e.g., PROTECT Primer) prior to application might strongly reduce the required quantity.
The exact figure needs to be determined for each individual application.
Over- and under sized application quantities may cause an inconsistent visual appearance and may forward crack formations and spalling.
