FIELDS OF APPLICATION

PANTARHOL® MaxRetard 55 (VZ) is a hydration stabilising admixture designed for controlling the hydration process of concrete.

The special product configuration allows the stabilisation of concrete for a long time period without negatively influencing its quality.

PANTARHOL® MaxRetard 55 (VZ) is suitable for challenging concrete applications where the prevention of concrete hydration is required such as:

• Hot weather conditions
• Long transport routes and conveying distances
• Demanding cements or aggregates
• Shotcrete applications
• Extended hauls
• Large continuous pours
• Pre-batching of concrete for later use
• Avoiding construction joints

WORKING PRINCIPLE

PANTARHOL® MaxRetard 55 (VZ) stabilises the hydration process of cement avoiding it from reaching its initial set.

This stabilisation is not permanent and is controlled by dosage rate. The concrete reattains normal hydration when the dosage effects of the hydration stabiliser diminish.

DOSAGE | APPLICATION QUANTITY

Recommended dosage range 0.2 – 2.0 mass-% of the cement content.
