PANTARHIT® PC783 (FM)

High-performance superplasticizer acc. to EN 934-2 with stabilising properties

Item No. 8178

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

PANTARHIT® PC783 (FM) is a high-performance superplasticizer to produce concretes with high consistencies, low w/c ratios, and long workability retention for precast and prefabricated concrete elements.

PANTARHIT® PC783 (FM) enables high early strength developments even at low ambient temperatures and without additional external heating. This can result in shorter stripping times and thus can contribute to increased productivity.

PANTARHIT® PC783 (FM) has excellent plasticizing effects which enhances concrete’s consistency by several consistency classes, e.g., from S1 to S5. The superplasticizer is also suitable for producing self-compacting concrete (SCC).

Especially during production of S5 concrete or SCC PANTARHIT® PC783 (FM) reduces concrete’s tendency of bleeding significantly. Furthermore, PANTARHIT® PC783 (FM) enables an even distribution of the aggregates in the concrete. Therefore, the product is particularly suitable to produce façade elements, concretes in car park constructions and for industrial floors, whose surfaces are ground and/or polished.

PANTARHIT® PC783 (FM) may reduce the compaction energy applied to concrete. Concrete manufacturers and applicators may therefore achieve an economical and technical benefit.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Due to the steric repulsive forces PANTARHIT® PC783 (FM) improves the cement dispersion within the concrete significantly. This results in a homogenous and low-viscosity cement paste which ensures an improved workability and facilitates the compaction of concrete.

The superplasticiser enables prolonged workability retention while the hydration process progresses at the same time.

DOSAGE | APPLICATION QUANTITY

Recommended dosage range 0.2 – 2.1 mass-% of the cement content;
is equivalent to 2 – 20 ml per kg cement.

For flow concrete (S5 ≥ 220 mm)
At an initial consistency end S1: approx. 8 ml per kg cement.

For SCC
At an initial consistency end S1: approx. 12 ml per kg cement.
