FIELDS OF APPLICATION

PROTECT SIL is a film forming impregnation for precast concrete, exposed concrete, concrete facades and manufactured concrete goods like slabs and paving.

PROTECT SIL generates a satin shining finishing which allows the formation of an excellent water- and oil repellent effect. Weathering through vegetation growth and UV radiation is minimised and concrete’s dirt rejection is significantly improved.

PROTECT SIL deepens the primary concrete colour and gives surfaces a fresh and shiny appearance.

PROTECT SIL is suitable for all mechanically processed or finished concrete surfaces (such as grinded, polished, washed, blasted and kernelled surfaces) and is applied on hardened concrete / on the dry side of concrete production.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

PROTECT SIL penetrates concrete’s capillary system and coats it. The film forming impregnation intensifies the concrete colour and gives it’s surface a glossy wet-look.

PROTECT SIL generates an excellent oil- and water repellent effect which reduces the water absorbing abilities of the surface. Efflorescence and frost damages are significantly reduced thereby.

PROTECT SIL is abrasion resistant. The generated protective film does not turn yellow, is permeable to water vapour, alkali-fastness and resistant against UV-radiation.

DOSAGE | APPLICATION QUANTITY

Depending on the surface structure and its absorbing abilities the necessary amount might vary between 100 – 200 g/m².
