FIELDS OF APPLICATION

PANTARHIT® CBS 820 (BV) is a special admixture solution designed for allowing the use of challenging aggregates e.g. clay containing sands in readymix and precast concrete applications.

The special product composition creates a blocking system which reduces clay’s capacity to absorb concrete admixtures, making them ineffective. The blocking effect ensures enhancing the effectiveness and performance of superplasticizers or plasticizers and helps to control the concrete technological challenges when using clay containing aggregates.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

PANTARHIT® CBS 820 (BV) neutralises the strong water absorbing attributes of clay containing aggregates by saturating their surface.

Combining the special admixture with a PCE-based PANTARHIT® high performance superplasticizer or plasticizer provides an ideal control over concrete’s workability and its consistency retention.

DOSAGE | APPLICATION QUANTITY

Recommended dosage range 0.2 – 2.5 mass-% of the cement content.
